Short-Term Voice Mail

Stanford University Communication Services provides Short-Term Voice Mail service for students who do not have their own telephone line. If you are searching for a place to live or if you need a way for callers to leave a message or get in contact with you during your move, this service could make the process a lot easier.

When you subscribe to Short-Term Voice Mail, you receive your own mailbox with a dedicated telephone number and the ability to record a personal greeting. You can then give your mailbox number out to friends, relatives, and--most importantly--potential landlords so that they can leave personal messages. You can retrieve your messages from any on-campus or off-campus telephone any time of the day or night.

It's a way for people to communicate with you quickly and confidentially. For more information, or to sign up for this service, call the Student Telephone and Cable TV service help line at (650) 497-HELP.
