Applying for Aid

Requirements and Deadlines

To apply for aid, you will need to complete the following required forms:

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – A web-based application provided by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Graduate Application – Stanford’s institutional application.

Please be careful to complete the correct versions of these forms based on the time period for which you are requesting student loans for federal Work-Study funding through your department.  Use the following chart to find the appropriate versions and procedures:

2009-2010 Graduate Loan and Federal Work-Study (FWS) Application.

Summer 2009 Graduate Application (PDF)

Priority Filing Deadline

Six weeks before first day of quarter(s) for which you wish to receive aid.
