Financial Aid Awards
Financial Aid award letters are no longer being sent by mail. Notifications are being sent
to students' Stanford email accounts once a new award letter is available on Axess. Students
can now view, print, and share their award letters at their convenience.

Revision Procedures
Requesting a revision to a financial aid award requires that you or your parents submit in writing a specific and detailed explanation of your situation. We accept revision requests for the student contribution only after the autumn quarter has begun in order to afford you the full summer to earn the expected amount.
It is important for you and your parents to be aware that we will not reduce expected contributions as a consequence of a family's financial decisions, such as refusing to pay educational costs or cash flow problems due to choices you and your parents have made in allocating or spending your resources.
Response time to requests for reevaluation varies, depending on the complexity of the issues involved and the time of year. We will make every effort to respond as promptly as possible. In most cases, you should continue with loan processing while a revision request is being considered. You must submit your request for a review of your aid award by using the Request for Revision form.
