Auditions for The Sweetest Hangover

performing May 8-10, 2008 in Pigott Theater

“Meet ghetto queens who speak in verse. Watch a pre-law school black feminist who choreographs for the stripper pole and a black wo/man going through hormonal changes sisterfy. Deal with a chicano intellectual who has a serious jones for crystal meth and a tattooing man. Welcome to Aztlantis, an underground house music club of the mid-90s, where critical discourse is caught up in a vogueing battle with the problematics of urban gay men of color community and disharmony.”

Auditions: Wednesday and Thursday, March 5 and 6 from 7:00 to 10:45 pm in Roble Gym, room 17

Callbacks: Friday March 7 from 7:00 to 10:45 pm in Roble Gym, room 17

7 main parts and a chorus

All speaking roles are for African American, Latino, and Asian American actors; genders are flexible. Singing and dancing, especially break dancing and voguing skills are a plus. Actors do not have to prepare anything as there will be sides.
