The Stanford Department of Drama offers a Doctor of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts, as well as a minor. Follow the above links for a description of each degree, its requirements, and application instructions.

In addition to time spent in the classroom, all of Drama's degree programs require time spent actually working in the theater on productions. The department's mission is to operate in both modes at once--academic department and producing theater. Our instructors, in addition to being published academicians, are also working artists in their own fields.
