COST SHARING IMPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES

STANFORD UNIVERSITY

On October 6, 1994, Stanford's policy and procedures statement on Cost Sharing was issued in response to the 1993 revision to OMB Circular A-21 section B.1.b.(2) regarding the classification of University Research as Organized Research and the requirements of Attachment E (Appendix B) of OMB Circular A-110. Stanford's policy has been in effect since September 1, 1994. Stanford updated its policies and reissued Research Policy Handbook Document 3.5 on May 15, 1998 and again in December 1999.
