The 1997 Stanford Tango Week:
All spots filled. Waiting List only.
July 6 to July 11, 1997
Stanford continues years of emphasis on salon and milonguero styles of
dancing Argentine tango. The Stanford University campus is beautiful in July. The
cool, clear Northern California climate has proven to be ideal for both
indoor and outdoor events.
For 1997, Stanford invited masters who combine extraordinary dancing style with formidable teaching technique, while offering a rounded balance of stylistic traditions with breadth and diversity. Stanford also selected masters who value improvisation and attentive partnering over exhibition patterns and routines.
