Welcome to the Ragtime Ball site. The Ragtime Ball is an annual fall quarter semi-formal/formal dance organized by the Friends of Dance and the Gang of Thirteen at Stanford. Dances are from the Ragtime era (tango, waltz, foxtrot, castle-walk, swing), and feature live bands. Past bands include the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, Paul Price Society Orchestra, Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums, Lee Press-On and the Nails, the Swing Solutions Bid Band, and the Stanford Jazz Orchestra.
