About Classical Archaeology at Stanford

Stanford's long history of suppport for Classical Archaeology has gained a new momentum since the mid 1990s with the arrival of Ian Morris, Michael Shanks, Jennifer Trimble and Giovanna Ceserani.


Together they run a program in archaeology as part of the new Stanford Archaeology Center that was established in the wake of the arrival of Ian, Michael and Ian Hodder (in the Department of Cultural and Social Anthropology).
