Darian is a 4th year in the archaeology track focusing on Roman archaeology. She received her BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago. Her research interests center on Italy and include the ancient economy, Roman farming, villas, and the rural landscape. She is also interested in the Etruscans and their interaction with Greeks and Romans, in heritage management practices and in the traffic in illicit antiquities. Darian has participated in excavations in Rome (including the Roman Forum: Post Aedem Castoris project), Central Italy, Crete, Lemnos, and the American Midwest.
Research InterestsArchaic Central Italy, especially Etruscan populations and Roman Ceramic studies.
