Tomasz Markiewicz works as an Egyptologists and papyrologist at the Warsaw University, Poland. His PhD thesis was on Demotic loan agreements and his research concentrates on the role of credit in the economy of Graeco-Roman Egypt. He is currently a Kosciuszko Foundation Fellow and a visiting scholar at Stanford.
