Saskia Hin received her MA in Classics at Leiden University, specializing in ancient history. She started her PhD project at the History department of Leiden University and is currently a visiting PhD student at Stanford. Her research focuses on ancient demography. She tries to approach questions concerning population development during the Late Roman Republic in Italy from an interdisciplinary perspective.
