Dan-El Padilla Peralta
4th year, Ancient History track
BA, Classics, Princeton University
MPhil, Greek and Roman History, Oxford University
Dan-el works on Republican Rome. He's interested in the uses and interpretations of religious ritual in the Republican city; its (sacred) topography; Republican prose and poetry; the "end" of the Republic; and the development and spread of the Roman epigraphic habit. He's also keen to engage with sociologically and economically informed approaches to the study of the ancient world. Outside of Classics, he tries to keep up to date on trends in US education and immigration policy.
In his spare time he watches as many baseball games as possible.
