Ava Shirazi

Ava's interests in classical literature center on the relationship between ancient philosophy and rhetoric and currently span a wide range of authors from Plato to Quintilian.  She is particularly interested in how the literary forms of philosophical and rhetorical texts can be important for understanding not only the heritage of each discourse but also for exploring the aesthetics of prose more generally.  Outside of Classics, her literary interests include modern drama and children's literature.
