Alan Sheppard

Alan is a student on the Classical Literature PhD track. He received a BA in 2008 from the University of Durham in the UK and an MA from Durham in 2009, writing a dissertation entitled Propaganda and the Persians: Public Epigram’s Depiction of the Persian Wars. His interests include pre-Hellenistic epigram, Archaic Greek poetry, Historiography, Old Comedy and, on a wider scale, how historical narrative is reported and shaped by literature.
