Ulrike Krotscheck

Ulrike is a faculty member at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.  Her area of interests includes archaeology, particularly in the distribution of ceramics in the western Mediterranean. She is currently teaching “Greece and Italy: An Artistic and Literary Odyssey” which examines the architecture, painted pottery and sculpture of the Bronze Age Aegean civilizations, It also investigates the Roman appropriation of Greek art and thought, and how 15^th century Italians used the ideas found in classical literature as a basis for revolutions in artistic practices and the conception of humanity.
