Biography: 

Rachel Ahern received her PhD in June 2009 and took up a tenure-track position in Classics at the University of Oklahoma the following fall. Her dissertation examined Homeric speech and the origins of rhetoric and was advised by Richard Martin, Natasha Peponi, and Andrea Nightingale.
