Patrick Lawler graduated in 1989 majoring in Classical Studies (Honors and Distinction, Phi Beta Kappa) and spent a semester abroad in Rome, at the American Center for Classical Studies. Mark Edwards was his thesis advisor for an undergraduate thesis on Book 23 of The Iliad, the funeral games of Patroklos. Patrick also worked on the Harvard/University of Chicago Archaeological dig in Ashkelon, Israel in 1987 (where he personally worked in a pet cemetery - one of the very few outside Egypt and Beverly Hills).

After college he cashed in his cards and went to law school at University of Chicago. Patrick is now a counsel in O'Melveny's Century City office and is a member of the Corporate Finance/Capital Markets Practice where he concentrates principally in the areas of debt financing transactions -- secured, unsecured, asset based, and cash flow based -- with an emphasis on entertainment financings, acquisitions and highly leveraged financings.
