David Lupher

David teaches classical languages, ancient literature in translation, Greco-Roman religions and the classical tradition at the University of Puget Sound. His recent book, Romans in a New World, examines how sixteenth-century Spaniards used the Roman Empire to justify or criticize their own role in the New World.
