Biography:
Adam Serfass arrived at Kenyon in 2002, and, for his first three years at the college, was jointly appointed in the Department of Classics and the Integrated Program in Humane Studies (IPHS). Serfass now teaches full-time in Classics, and offers courses in Greek and Latin as well as in ancient history. His research focuses on the diffusion of Christianity in late antiquity, especially in Italy and Egypt. In 2007, Serfass received Kenyon's Junior Trustee Award for Teaching Excellence, and in 2008, he was appointed chair of the department.
