Q&A with "Spartacus" creator Steven DeKnight

The Classics Department will host a conversation with Steven DeKnight, creator and executive producer of the Starz Network television program, "Spartacus." The event is free and open to the public. An episode from the show's first season will be screened in the department at 5:15pm on Tuesday, February 21.

Steven S. DeKnight received his undergraduate degree in Theater Arts from the UCSC and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from UCLA.  He went on to write, produce, and direct for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville, and Dollhouse.  He is currently the executive producer and creator of the Starz original series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: Vengeance.
