Principal Research Interests

Since biosensors were first presented in the 1980's the technology evolved to continuous analysis systems and became more and more sophisticated. In the field of metal analysis most of these systems were based on ionophores lacking both selectivity and specificity. Recently, the use of antibodies in immunosensors has been of great interest for their high selectivity. The goal of my research is to develop such tools combining antibodies and sensitive analytical detection methods.
