October 6, 2008 Professor Moerner wins Langmuir Prize Stanford Chemistry Professor William E. Moerner was awarded the 2009 Irving Langmuir Prize in Chemical Physics for making major contributions to the chemical physics of biological systems and non-biological materials through the application of single molecule spectroscopy. The Langmuir Prize recognize and encourage outstanding interdisciplinary research in chemistry and physics. Learn more about the award by clicking here.
