Professor Richard Zare receives Herschbach Award

Chemistry Chair Professor Richard Zare, HHMI Professor and the Marguerite Blake Wilbur Professor in Natural Science, will be awarded the The Dudley R. Herschbach Award for Excellence in Research in the field of the dynamics of molecular collisions.



The 2007 Dynamics of Collisions Meeting in Santa Fe New Mexico will see the initiation of the Dudley R. Herschbach Award. This award will be given to two recipients every year, a theoretician and an xxperimentalist, thereby reflecting the nature of the DMC meeting. The award banquet will be held at the Georgia O'Keeffe museum in Santa Fe on Thursday, July 12th. The recipients of the award will be chosen by a committee consisting of the Chair, vice Chair and the previous three Chairs of the DMC meeting.
