May 17, 2007 Chemistry Graduate Student wins Lieberman Fellowship Nicholas Conley, a 3rd year chemistry graduate student in the Moerner and Waymouth labs is the recipient of a 2007 Lieberman Fellowship. This fellowship is named in honor of one of Stanford's most distinguished citizens, Provost Emeritus Gerald J. Lieberman. A member of the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, Professor Lieberman achieved eminence as a scholar, teacher, and university statesman in a career that spanned 43 years as a student and faculty member at Stanford.
