Microscopic lab investigates contents of a cell

Professor Richard Zare, the Marguerite Blake Wilbur Professor in Natural Science, the Chair of the Stanford Chemistry Department, in collaboration with his colleagues has engineered microscopic channel, half the width of a human hair, into tiny squares of polydimethylsiloxane.
