Advising Resources for Biology Minors
There are two main advising resources in the Department that are available to both prospective and current Biology minors:
Undergraduate Staff Advisor
The undergraduate advisor, Jennifer Mason, is available to help students with administrative matters including, but not limited to, declaring the minor, verifying students' course plans as it pertains to the minor requirements, and general advising. Jennifer is located in Gilbert 108, and has office hours Monday-Thursday 10am-12noon, 1-4:30pm and Friday 1-4:30pm. If you cannot make it during these office hours, Jennifer is generally available on AIM (jmason@stanford.edu) during the day Monday-Friday, and is also available to meet between 8am-10am if needed.
Peer Advisors
BioBridge is the department peer advising program. BioBridge is comprised of junior and senior Biology majors. They are available to offer advice on course loads, opinions on faculty, providing resources for tutoring, as well as sharing personal experience about studying abroad or at Hopkins Marine Station. BioBridge is located in Gilbert 108, and has office hours Monday-Friday 1-4pm during the regular academic year. They can also be reached via email at biobridge@lists.stanford.edu, or you can check out their website.
