Major

An Undergraduate major can be declared in either Chinese, Japanese, or both. In the latter case, non-overlapping requirements of both majors will need to be fulfilled. Students who are thinking of declaring a major should make an appointment with one of the faculty undergraduate advisors for Chinese and Japanese to discuss their program. The basic requirements for the B.A. can be completed in three years, and by using the summer language programs, students may be able to finish the requirements sooner, thus allowing more flexibility in designing their undergraduate program. Students can declare their major by going onto AXESS.
