Authority Reports

Overview

Authority Reports is a web application that provides access to Authority Manager data to help university employees understand and manage authority assignments in their area. The application provides three ways to report on authority data: by Organization, by user SUNet ID, or by Privilege.

Authority Reports allow the user to select the amount of data to display (or export) by filtering or hiding columns. The user may also increase the number of records displayed by changing the number of records shown while paging through the entire data set.

Report Types

Authority Reports may be run:

  1. by Organization
  2. by SUNet ID
  3. by Privilege

The resulting reports provide information according to the following chart.

Features


Sort Columns



Click the arrows to sort the data in ascending or descending order according to the values in that column.


Hide Columns


Click the Hide Column link to hide a particular column. Note thathidden columns will be excluded from exports to either CSV or Excel.

Use your browser's refresh / reload page feature to restore hidden columns.


Quick Filter


To limit results - the Quick Filter feature will filter or limit the results of the report based on what you type.

Notes:

  1. When exporting, filtered results will be exported as filtered.
  2. Filters may be easily removed by deleting the filtering value.


Show Entries


The drop down lists thenumber of rows to show in the report.


Pagination


Allows you to skip to the next, previous, first, last, or any specific page within the range listed.

Notes:

  1. The maximum number of pages listed in the range is 5.

  2. The total number of pages will be based on the number of rows selected to display (see above).


Export as CSV /
Export to Excel

Once you have the data you need, simply click one of the export buttons to save as either a Comma Separated Value (CSV) or Excel file. Your browser will prompt you to save the file.
