The grant-only feature allows you to give someone the ability to “Grant”, but not “Do”. This feature is helpful for those who manage groups (end routes, etc.), or for a person to be the focal point for maintaining authority in an area, even if she will not have the authority herself.
The grant-only option is available for only some privileges, as selected by the business owners.
Grant-only is a "condition", set in the last step of the authority granting wizard. The bottom of the conditions step allows you to select whether the person to whom you are granting the privilege can grant it further. The default value is “cannot”. As shown in the example below, an additional option, “can ONLY”, is available for this privilege. Selecting “can ONLY” means just that – the individual can only grant this privilege; they cannot “do it” (or use the authority) themselves.

When the assignment is complete, the summary panel displays "can grant-only"

The authority view for this person will show the privilege in italics. The status column will show "Grant-only", and the Grantable column will have a checkmark (for "yes").
To change the person's granting status, click on the Conditions link. This will redisplay step 6 of the granting authority wizard, as shown above.
