ReportMarts

Data Management and Reporting supports two web-based reporting systems for accessing distributed administrative reports at Stanford: ReportMart1 and ReportMart3. These are the standard reporting tools for administrative systems at Stanford.

ReportMart1

[RM1 was upgraded in November 2007]

ReportMart1 is a web portal through which users access and run reports for a number of administrative systems (other than Oracle Financials) at Stanford. The software that powers the generation of these reports is called Hyperion (formerly Brio). ReportMart1 is used for generating reports from the following systems:

  • PeopleSoft: Human Resources and Student Administration
  • Pinnacle: ITS Billing Services
  • Kronos: Time and Leave Tracking
  • Resources25 (R-25): Classroom Scheduling
  • Space Management (iSpace)
  • PeopleSoft STARS: Learning Management application
  • Other applications that have reports in ReportMart1 include Med Faculty Events, CAMS Legacy, DSS (UMG), and Residential and Dining Enterprises.

See the ReportMart1 User Guide for more information.

ReportMart3 [Upgrade Coming in July 2008]

ReportMart3 is the web portal used for generating reports from the Oracle Financials system at Stanford. The software that powers the generation of ReportMart3 reports is Business Objects.

ReportMart3 pulls data from three sources:

  • The new Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW): day-old financial data from the General Ledger (GL), Grants Accounting (GA), Reimbursements (iOU), and limited budget data
  • A separate reporting database that contains a day-old data copy of the Oracle Financials database
  • A few reports pull data directly from the real-time Production Oracle database
