After receiving a BA in American Studies from UT Austin in 2001, Kelcey Edwards studied film production at Austin Filmworks. In 2003 she co-founded Iron Gate Studios art space and spent the next few years devoting herself to independent film and gallery work. In
2006 she was one of eight filmmakers selected for Stanford University's MFA program in Documentary Film & Video. She is an award winning filmmaker whose films have been screened at numerous film festivals, including SXSW, Mendocino, Black Maria and South Florida Women's International Film Festivals.
