Evan Briggs first became interested in documentary film as a senior in college through the Center for Documentary Studies in Durham, N.C. She moved to San Francisco shortly after graduation in 2000, where she worked as an intern at the Bay Area Video Coalition. The following year, she moved to Seattle and dabbled in several professions: as a production assistant on several independent documentaries, waitress, Festival Coordinator for the Hazel Wolf Environmental Film Network, and special education middle school teacher. Evan grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and holds a B.A. in Literature and French from Duke University.
