Program Overview

The architectural design major offers opportunities for students to explore their general interest in architecture, while taking courses that provide technical fundamentals in building design and construction.

This program is particularly valuable for students planning to do graduate work in architecture. At the same time, the program retains the spirit of a broad-based liberal arts education. With a strong background in mathematics and science, it prepares students for graduate studies in disciplines other than architecture, such as engineering, law, and business.

The major is not an accredited program and thus requires graduate studies in architecture in order to pursue a career as a professional architect.

Majors receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a specialization in Architectural Design.
