Robertson, Ian G.
Assistant Professor
Ph.D. Arizona State, 2001
Ian Robertson is an archaeologist specializing in the prehispanic cultures of Mesoamerica. His research is focused on Central Mexico and in particular on the site of Teotihuacan. Ian’s investigations into this ancient city combine interests in preindustrial urbanism with formal approaches to solving archaeological research problems. Other interests include morphometric analysis of stone tools—a current project is relating variation in skill-levels and individual knapping styles in spear points from Teotihuacan to issues concerning the organization of pre-industrial, urban workshops.
