Frequently asked questions regarding posters:
Our team of professional Graphic Artists are available to help you complete your poster presentation -whether you just need some tips or would like us to handle the whole project. Just give us a call to discuss your needs.

1. How far in advance do I need to get you my file?
Minimum turnaround for poster printing is 1 business day. However, if you would like a test print prior to full size printing allow an additional day.

2. What size posters do you print?
Posters can be printed as 36 inch or 44 inch widths and up to 90 inches long.

3. What application do you recommend?
We do not advocate any one software as the "best" - there are many fine applications that can be used. However, some are more suitable for posters - look for features such as custom page size, ability to include images from other applications and ease of use. The most commonly used applications are Microsoft Powerpoint and Adobe Illustrator.

4. How can I get good quality Stanford Logos on my poster?
Visual Art Services has high resolution files of approved Stanford Logos (University seal, Medical School shield, LPCH logo and others) available. The files can then be inserted or placed into your existing graphic file. The cost is $15.00 per logo file when paying with a Stanford Account number. [All services not billed to a Stanford account number are subject to a 56.5% Government Overhead Rate charge and California sales tax.]

5. How much does it cost to print a poster?
The price is dependent on the size of you poster and the turnaround time. Please call us at X3-6813 for a quote.
