Only if you are on a panel and have a discussant--arrange this with your panel.
Q: Will there be a publication from the conference?
No.
Q: Where can I find information about hotels around Stanford campus?
There are many hotels in the Palo Alto area--check the Internet. We recommend you rent a car--we are getting a preferred rate from AVIS. Check our website.
Q: I wonder if there will be any book exhibit to be organized in the CIES 2005 annual meeting in Stanford?
Yes, there will be book exhibits at this CIES. Send us an e-mail confirming that you will have a book exhibit. We are checking on the fee structure for having an exhibit. It is quite modest, but we have to check on what it has been in the past.
Q. How can I get from the airport in San Francisco or San Jose to Palo Alto (train, bus?) and which airport is closest?
San Jose Airport (SJC) is closest to Stanford campus. The directions to the campus from SJC or SFO can be found at Yahoo Map http://maps.yahoo.com/dd or Mapquest http://www.mapquest.com. For more information please refer to the web sites of the airports.
Q. I would like to participate in the 2005 CIES. But I have a financial problem with traveling. Does the CIES provide any financial support to the participants?
Unfortunately, we do not have funding sources available for travel or honoraria.
Q. Where shall I ask for presentation equipments such as a laptop and an LCD projector? Are they set up in each room?
All rooms are equipped with a LCD projector, but participants need to provide his or her own laptops.
