Coaching Institutes
July 21-25, 2003
BayCES is offering coaching institutes for
individuals and/or teams at BayCES University this summer.
Institutes are designed
for teacher leaders, education reformers, external evaluators,
and other professional developers interested in understanding
the theory, processes and skills behind "equity-focused" coaching.
Professional Development Courses
July 28-August 8, 2003
We are offering five-day courses in four of BayCES key content
areas: school design, data-based inquiry, instructional leadership
and leading for equity (managing the emotional and social aspects
of change and reform work). These courses offer intensive professional
development and skill building and are a great opportunity
to learn new strategies for creating more equitable classrooms.
Courses will be led by BayCES coaches, small schools practitioners
and other professional developers in the region!
