How can I make the most of my campus visit?
The Stanford School of Education holds a MA information session for prospective graduate students each year.  Scheduling your visit to coincide with the session is definitely worthwhile. You may also contact the LDT program advisor to arrange class visits and request other information.  Prospective applicants are also encouraged to contact the School’s Admissions Office at (650) 723-4794 and info@suse.stanford.edu to speak with the admissions officer.

What kinds of fields do LDT graduates enter?
The flexibility of the LDT program enables graduates to enjoy a broad range of employment opportunities from museum exhibit designers to educational technologists.

How many students are in the program?
The LDT program admits between 10 and 20 students each year.

Can I do a joint degree?
The LDT program is not a joint degree program.  However, the Stanford School of Education offers a separate Joint Degree with the Graduate School of Business.

Is it possible to do the LDT program while working?
SUSE students who enroll for a minimum of 11 units are not allowed by University policy to hold assistantships.  Students in LDT must enroll in at least 2 quarters at 11 units each and in at most 2 quarters of 10 units each. It is possible for LDT students, when enrolled in 10 units during a quarter, to hold a 25% time assistantship.   Many students work as hourly employees or through paid internships off campus.  International students cannot be employed off-campus because of visa restrictions.
