Collections
The language materials collection consists of audio cassettes, videos, laserdiscs, CD-ROMs and computer programs in over 90 languages, including a large collection for English as a Second Language instruction. All language materials are housed on Green Library's Media-Microtext division, which is located in the basement of the East Wing. Once checked out, these materials can be brought to the Language Lab for viewing. These holdings are integrated into Stanford's library collection and can therefore be searched through the online catalog from anywhere on campus. Materials placed on reserve by instructors can be found using the Reserves Catalog.
Instructors may request the acquisition of new titles required for their courses. Please contact Academic Computing at 724-5600 for more information. All materials are available on a first-come, first-served basis from the Media-Microtext desk in Green, except computer programs which are available on the Courseware server from the Language Lab computers in area 280.
Instructors are welcome to make software available to their students on the Language Lab's computers. Please contact Joseph Kautz jkautz@stanford.edu) for details.
