Related Stanford Departments The Program in Modern Thought and Literature has few specific course requirements, and does not cross-list courses from other departments in the Stanford Bulletin. To get an idea of the kinds of courses available to Modern Thought and Literature students, prospective applicants may wish to read through the course offerings in the literature or culture of their choice, in the Bulletin, as well as those of non-literature departments and programs. The interdisciplinary component of a student's work is generally drawn from among the following departments and programs at Stanford:
Students may also pursue other interests, such as Film Studies, Gay and Lesbian Studies, or Native American Studies, although fully-developed programs in these areas do not yet exist at Stanford.
