Areas of Interest:
David Stentiford studies the ideological and ecological underpinnings of environmental thinking in literature and visual culture. His research is positioned between fields and disciplines—frequently, the history of photography and ecology—and it draws on interdisciplinary theories of landscape, and methodologically from ecocriticism and visual studies.
Before joining the Program in Modern Thought and Literature, David studied English at the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned an M.A. with an emphasis in Literature and Environment. His B.A. is in Environmental Studies – Literature from Whitman College.
