Research Interests
Katila's research focuses on technology strategy and organizational
evolution and change. She is currently studying innovation search
strategies of global robotics firms. Katila is the recipient of
the INFORMS Technology Management Best Dissertation Award, and
the Best Dissertation Award from the Technology and Innovation
Management division of the Academy of Management. Her symposium
on Exploratory search was selected as the Best Symposium by the
Organization & Management Theory Division of the Academy of
Management in 2002.
