Professor Carlson lectures, consults,
and directs programs throughout the world in the areas of the
management of new product development, manufacturing strategy,
scheduling, facilities planning, and cost analysis. At Stanford,
he founded and directs a one-week summer executive program entitled
"Excellence in Developing and Manufacturing Products".
He also has lectured in the programs "Effective Management
of Production Operations" and the "AEA/Stanford Executive
Institute". He has created and conducted numerous executive
seminars in the United States and in England, Germany, Switzerland,
Japan, Spain, and Canada. He was the founding Co-Director of
the International Manufacturing Policy Seminar offered at the
International Management Institute in Geneva and the founding
Co-Director of the Stanford Faculty Program in the Management
of Technology offered at the Kyoto Research Park in Japan.
