STARS - PeopleSoft ELM 9 - Enhancements

The following are highlights of the enhancements to the basic PeopleSoft ELM implementation. Some of the enhancements are improvements, or changes to the delivered PeopleSoft functionality and STARS processes. Other enhancements offer new functionality to the STARS. Please find listed, only the highlights of the STARS enhancements implemented by the STARS team.

STARS Enhancements FY 2010

The major accomplishments (to date) for FY2010 include:

• Implementation Manager Self-Service functionality
• Implementation of STARS Integration with Stanford eMail and Calendar

STARS Enhancements FY 2009

The major accomplishments for FY2009 include:

• Design and Implementation of New User Interface for STARS Learners
• Streamlined the Registration Process for Certification Programs, including auto-enrollment into associated Learning Activities
  
• Streamlined the Enrollment Process for Learning Activities
  
• Implemented a "User Browser Check" for validation of the use of a PeopleSoft-supported Internet Browser, to help ensure accurate posting and recording of learning activities
• Implemented TNAT, Training Needs Assessment Tool
  
• STARS integration with Authority Manager
• Integration of AICC-compliant courses with external Third Parties
• Implemented the "Import History Learning Records" process

STARS Enhancements FY 2008

The major accomplishments for FY2008 include: 

• Upgrade from PeopleSoft ELM version 8.8 to ELM version 9.0
• Migrated responsibility for STARS Reports from HRIS to AS Reporting Team - updates/modifications to reports.
• Limited Mass Enrollment for self-service, Update the Mass Enrollment Processes for large enrollment groups
• Repaired Search Catalog functionality (Verity Indexing)
• Automation of batch uploads of Learner activities from External LMS Systems
  

Implemented into STARS Production during FY2008 from the date of the installation of the current STARS Management Team (November 12, 2007).
