STARS - Stanford Training and Registration System

What is STARS?

The Stanford Training And Registration System (STARS) is Stanford's implementation of PeopleSoft's Enterprise Learning Management System (commonly referred to as either "ELM" or "LMS"). It is a distinct module in the PeopleSoft system that provides management with a centralized University-wide tracking tool for compliance and training administration.

STARS is the replacement for the legacy Prism Training Registration and is available via the PeopleSoft Axess Portal.

What's new in STARS

STARS Upgrade - On December 3, 2007, Stanford completed the STARS upgrade to version 9. In 2008, Stanford will be upgrading its entire PeopleSoft system from verision 8.0 to version 9.0. Because STARS is a distinct module in PeopleSoft, it represented a smaller migration to version 9.0 and was implemented before the remainder of the PeopleSoft system.

"What's Different in STARS v9" Document -
STARS has prepared a "living document" of the comparisons between Version 8 and Version 9 functions.  (doc)

Please report additional issues by filing a HelpSU Request.
