Who We Are
Public Events
The division of Public Events is responsible for the oversight and
execution of the University' s major public ceremonies, which include:
Commencement, Baccalaureate, the University President's Inauguration,
New Student Convocation, as well as other major events and activities
as directed by the President's Office.
The division also works in an advisory capacity (regarding other
large University events) to the various schools and departments
on campus and oversees University policy regarding Stanford events.
The Public Events office has final approval of Stanford facility
and open space use for non-academic public events on campus.
