Prescription Safety Glasses Program

The EH&S Occupational Health Program offers a designated vendor for the purchase of Prescription Safety Glasses for Stanford University departments and employees.

Departments interested in ordering prescription safety glasses for their employees should have a representative contact Everette Epting at Essilor (800-638-7957 ext. 6562) to establish the type of glasses and cost the department is willing to cover. This information will be added to a personalized Authorization/Order Form that will be sent to you.

When an employee needs prescription safety glasses, the department contact can give the employee a copy of the form to take to Stanford Optical to select and order glasses. The employee will also need to bring a copy of his/her current prescription. If the cost of the glasses requested by the employee is greater than the cap set by the department, the employee will be asked to pay the difference.
