Fire Protection Service
Fire Protection Services of the Stanford University
Fire Marshal's Office, provides repair, replacement or installation
of Fire Protection equipment to our customers based on work requests
and available staffing. Fire Protection Services will determine
service request schedules based on timely written work requests
and customer needs. A minimum of 48 hours prior to date and time
of necessary service is requested. Service requests received after
3:00 p.m. will be considered for the next working day. Extra notice
is always desirable to ensure that your request is met. Service
requests missing information may not be processed within 48 hours
and are subject to delay.
To Request Service
- Download the form.
- Fill out the form and save it to your computer.
- E-mail the form as an attachment to: sufmo_services@lists.stanford.edu.
- After emailing the request, please call (650) 725-2129 and ask to speak to the Lead Tech or Supervisor to schedule a day and time for a technician to do the work.
NOTE: Due to Stanford P-T-A numbers having to be entered on the service request, we will only accept requests from a Stanford email address to ensure it is coming from a Departmental Contact.
Emergency Service and Quick Responses.
Fire Protection, in accordance with the guidelines established
by the University Fire Marshal, has the authorization to determine
emergency service. Emergencies are generally defined as broken equipment
that has a serious impact on the Fire Alarm control panel or the
Fire Protection for a building.
To request Emergency Service, telephone Fire Protection Services
@725-2129 or Facilities Operations Work Support Emergency Number
@723-2281. Once the Emergency is under control, the requester shall
place a service request using the Procedures as outlined above.

All rates listed are during our normal hours of business, 6:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday.
Holidays are billed at double time rate per hour.
A callback to provide service after normal business hours is a minimum 4 hour charge.
