The Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) is owned by the federal govern-ment, and SLAC, including the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (SSRL), is subject to many contractual obligations to the U.S. Department of Energy with respect to health and safety which are different from the health and safety regulations applicable to other parts of the University.

Therefore, other Stanford policies may not apply to SLAC. Please contact the SLAC Environmental Safety and Health Division for information about SLAC's health and safety policies and procedures (SLAC ext. if calling from campus: 280-2377).
